The Doctor offering to help Dalek Caan.
I miss this Doctor Who.
I find it strange that Rose is basically asking the Doctor to be a bit more alien by showing some high-tech flash. Especially coming off the emotional events of the previous episode, Father’s Day, and how vulnerable they were with each other. I know this scene allowed Moffat to establish an easily-identifiable contrast between the Doctor and Jack Harkness (with all his Spock-y alien tech), but it’s odd to see her asking the Doctor not to behave like himself … putting together solutions out of kettle and string, and figuring out the lay of the land by plunging into the populace.
Moffat: clumsily executing character development in Doctor Who since s1. (via laurenhasmoved)
Excellent observation is excellent…
